Description

Created by LCF Mayor Terry Walker, Walker’s Walkabout is a beautiful shaded hike through Oak Grove Park and up the Flint Canyon Trail to Woodleigh Ln. It runs through the Flintridge area, passing  Hahamongna Watershed Park in Pasadena on the east and heads towards the Cherry Canyon trails on the west. After passing under Oak Grove Drive and the 210 Freeway, the trail meanders through a lovely, undeveloped area with many oaks, sycamores, and a year-round stream before coming out next to Berkshire Avenue. The halfway point is at a small LCF pocket park located on the west side of Woodfield Ln where you can rest for the return trip back. The trail is mostly soft surface with some street walking. These green open spaces add interest and variety to the trail experience.

Walker’s Walkabout is November 3, 2018, at 11 AM starting at The Flintridge Riding Club. Estimated time 2.5 hours.
