November 2024
Hello La Cañada Flintridge Trail Lovers!
2024 has been an outstanding year for the trails and your LCF Trails Council, celebrating it’s 50th anniversary. Protecting, preserving, and expanding our City’s trail system requires the whole community’s support, and we genuinely appreciate yours!
Below is why it has been a busy year. At the bottom is a quick outline of our accomplishments and future hopes for the trails. If you want more details about any of these projects, go to our blog or sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of our LCFTrails.org website, or email me at info@lcftrails.org, and we will sign you up. Finally, you can add your email if you donate online or mail us a check at P.O. BOX 852, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91012. Whichever way you do this, we would love to have you as an informed part of our trail community and advocate. In addition, receiving your email will allow us to transition to a more efficient digital way of communicating with you.
Why get involved? We plan to build or open several new trails while preserving the 23.5 miles we currently steward. It requires community support in terms of time and money.
In other news, we have updated our trail video, now entitled “Trailblazing in La Canada Flintridge.” It describes who built the trails, how they were almost lost, and the visionary people who fought to save them. These were the folks who originally formed the LCF Trails Council 50 years ago. It is a fascinating story with rare footage and new colorization of old La Cañada. Previously available only on DVD, it is now available for all to enjoy and share on our our YouTube Channel and LCFTrails.org.

Without your help and support, none of this will or could happen!
All the best,
Tom Reynolds
President of the LCF Trails Council
